A-LanTech was founded by me, Michael Prusek, at the age of 16. I first became interested in computers in 1st grade and have been hooked ever since. Just be thankful you weren't my mother when I was messing around with this and that inside her computer and installing "cool software" etc. That didn't turn out so well for her computer more than a couple times. I couldn't have done it without her computer to tinker with and the help I got from personal experience and www.techimo.com. I learned more about computers by helping other people online and reading about peoples problems than any other way I've learned.
I am dedicated to delivering affordable computer work without the hastle of a large corporation. When you get your computer worked on you will always be dealing with somebody that is very knowledgable and very friendly (well right now it's only me :) ). If you are looking for a computer solution designed specifically for you, let us know and we will work hard to design a great setup with you and your budget in mind. You may be wondering why A-LanTech, or any other local competitor cannot beat Dell, Compaq, HP, etc. on low end computers ($250 for a tower, printer, and monitor?!) First, they buy parts in incredible bulk, and don't always use the highest quality parts. Second, they install software on your computer that you may not care for - AOL, Norton Free Trial, McAffee, Napster, etc. When you buy a system from A-LanTech you have the peace of mind of getting the highest quality parts, parts that we would want in our own systems, and systems with none of the extra stuff you don't want.
